Up the narrow staircase is the bedroom, simply furnished and with a comfy double bed. The small window looks out through the oak and chestnut trees across the lake. Just occasionally red squirrels pass by in the trees, just feet from where you are! Outside, there's a deck with table & chairs overlooking the lake and an outside wood-fired cooker for al fresco cooking as well as a campfire style BBQ. Here you'll also find the showerroom with composting loo. Down by the water there's a raft and a little boat, you're going to love drifting around on the raft and listening to the frog's chorus, or feeding our tame carps by hand! There are hammocks for when the sun's shining and rustic benches where you'll have a ringside seat for a kingfisher flypast, or watch the red kites circling above.

Everyone who visits Woodsman's cabin agrees that the peacefulness of the setting is what they love about it most. Set on the bank of it's own little lake, the cabin is off-grid, we use alternative energies to provide basic mod-cons. It's the perfect place to unwind with few distractions other than from nature all around you and is also the location for our halcyon honeymoons. The cabin was made using timber from our own woodland and many recycled materials. It has a rustic romantic feel of being away from it all. An off- road track leads to the cabin tucked away in the trees. Stepping inside there's a comfy seating area with lots of interesting nic-nacs tucked away, a woodburning stove to keep the cabin toasty and the kitchen-dining area. The kitchen area contains all the equipment you'd need to prepare and cook meals, with a gas oven and hob and a gas fridge, but hey, if you can't be bothered to cook for yourselves take advantage of our fabulous cabincuisine service!
