On the rafting note - for future guests - make sure you paddle out to the middle of the lake on a clear night. Take a look at the Milky Way spiralling off into the distance. Truly spectacular! Sarah & Gareth 09/2011
We had a lovely few days relaxing and getting away from it all. Reading, playing guitar and drawing (whilst eating lots of cheese and meat!)
We loved the woodburning stove and it kept us nice & warm, even in December.
The eco-features were fascinating for me and really loved seeing how everything could work in a self-sufficient way...and the candlelight made it extra cosy and romantic. Tom & Alice (new year) 2012

A wonderful and memorable honeymoon. Thank you for making it perfect - we were wanting for nothing in the cabin...you have thought of everything!
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and take away many happy memories, including of course, our delicious welcoming meal and the giant breakfasts every morning - which ensured we spent the rest of the morning in the hammocks!

After a hectic summer of wedding preperations, it has been utter bliss to have some peace and calm before heading home to work once again...
But at the end of the day, we came here to spend time at the cabin and how quickly we fell into a routine of chopping wood, lighting fires, heating water and cooking by candlelight! It's easy for the days to slip by just by pottering around the cabin... Jane & Dylan 08/2011

Thank you Di & Bob for creating this haven where we;
* Slept for 15 hours one night (after checking for werewolves).
* Ate boiled eggs every morning.
* Spent time breaking the ice on the lake for daily paddles.
* Skinny-dipped on New Years day (for about a second!)
and...
* We got engaged!
Our time here has been magical...full of starry nights and crystal days.

What an amazing place! Spent all day, every day floating on the raft, fishing, exploring and chilling out. Every evening was spent cooking on the bbq and sitting around the outdoor fire waiting for the deer to appear, just before dark, especially the huge stag that showed up one night!
We have all had the most amazing time and are now off to the hustle and bustle of Paris. Pete, Nicky, Ed, & Beth 05/2011
